About PanelPeek
PanelPeek is a free browser tool for checking a display you have just bought or received: a monitor, a laptop screen or a tablet screen. Open it, move the window to the screen you want to check, and run the test patterns full screen. If your browser cannot enter full screen or you decline it, the patterns cover only the visible browser area.
What you can check
- Dead and stuck pixels on solid red, green, blue, white and black screens.
- Backlight bleed, IPS glow and brightness uniformity on a black screen and grey steps.
- Sharpness, scaling and text rendering with a grid and sample text.
- Your own notes for each step, kept as a checklist you can export or print.
What it cannot do
PanelPeek is a visual aid. It cannot detect a defective pixel for you, and a screenshot cannot prove a physical panel defect. It does not measure refresh rate or response time, and it does not promise a one-to-one pixel view, hardware colour accuracy or pixel repair. Browser rendering is affected by scaling, pixel ratio and power-saving modes, so treat everything here as an observation aid, not a laboratory measurement.

There is no account and no upload. The checklist is created in your browser, stays on your device, and you choose whether to export or print it. See the privacy page for what the hosting provider may record.
